Water restoration is definitely not a “one size fits all” process.  How we dry depends on a number of factors including:

  • Source of water loss. (Clean Water, Grey Water, Black Water)
  • Type and location of materials affected.
  • Time elapsed since the damage occurred.
  • Temperature and humidity levels within the structure.

If we begin mitigation right away, we can often salvage materials that have been damaged.  One such way in which we can do that is through our specialized floor drying systems.  These systems utilize mats and hoses to gently extract moisture through the surface of hardwood flooring.   Often floors that have begun to “buckle” or “cup” can be effectively salvaged using these customized setups.  At SERVPRO of Mobile County, we are dedicated to a restore versus replace mentality and have chosen to invest in systems such as these that can support that philosophy.  We also invest in ongoing education and training for all of our IICRC Certified technicians to ensure they are up to date on the latest techniques in water restoration.  If you experience water damage in your home or business, give us a call at 251-343-0534.
