The aftermath of a fire in your home can leave you overwhelmed and confused.  Communication is a critical part of the recovery process and we are “Here to help”® you every step of the way.   To ensure the communication process runs smoothly, we want to make sure you are familiar with terms commonly used in the fire restoration industry.

  • Packout – boxing contents to transport to an off-site facility for cleaning
  • Contents – the possessions within your home including furniture, textiles, electronics, jewelry, appliances, sporting equipment, toys, etc.
  • Structure – the physical makeup of the building including walls and roof
  • In-place Cleaning – cleaning contents on-site
  • iCat – inventory system to document contents being packed for transport and off-site cleaning
  • Textiles – clothing, bedding, linens, etc.
